Youth concert to benefit Hospice youth program

contra costa youth orchestra concert to benefit hospice east bay youth programsThe Contra Costa Youth Orchestra (CCYO) will present its 3rd annual “Kids Helping Kids” concert to benefit Comfort for Kids, the pediatric program of Hospice of the East Bay (formerly Hospice and Palliative Care of Contra Costa).

The concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28th, at the Lesher Center for the Arts in Walnut Creek. Musical selections will please all ages. Nicolai Rimsky-Korsakoff’s Procession of the Nobles; Gioachino Rossini’s William Tell Overture; Leroy Anderson’s Saraband and Belle of the Ball Waltz and John Williams’ Star Wars Suite will be featured. Afterwards, refreshments will be served.

Conductor and Music Director, Greg Mazmanian, remarks that, “the young performers of CCYO are thrilled and proud that, once again, they can positively impact such a worthy cause. Sharing their hard work and talent for good rather than just glory is refreshing in today’s world.”

Regular Admission: $15, Seniors: $12 and Youth (17 and under): $10. Tickets can be ordered by calling (925) 943-7469.
