Walnut Creek to call in Border Patrol?

December 5, 2007

walnut creek immigration authority official stampAfter its second homicide of the year, one in which Walnut Creek police were bewildered as to what business a nearby, Pittsburg resident could possibly have in the tony, downtown hotspot area of the WC, city officials began drawing up plans to get the Governor and President to station Border Patrols at the city’s main entrance points off Hwy 680.

Official plans, that city leaders insist do not violate profiling ordinances, will require all non-caucasians produce a current pay stub to prove they either work or have business in Walnut Creek. Any caucasian suspected of making less than $200,000 per year will be required to produce a notarized copy of their previous year’s W2.

Checkpoints will be established at Ygnacio at the Walnut Creek BART, Ygnacio at Civic, and on either end of Mt Diablo Boulevard at the 24/680 off ramp and at Broadway. Roving patrols will police the downtown area on two-man, armed ATV’s.

Non-residents wishing to enter what Walnut Creek officials are calling, “The Zone,” who provide official ID and documentation described above, must then carry a passport issued by the Walnut Creek Immigration Authority. Like a fishing license, visitors will just be able to mill around the area and put their poles in the water, but their passport must have specific stamps to enter Bing Crosby’s, Fleming’s, Vic Stewart’s, the WCYC, Nordstrom’s and the Broadway Plaza, including P.F. Chang’s and of course, Ruth’s Chris. No stamp is required for Mr Lucky’s or Stanford’s at this time.

Claycord.com has tentatively indentified the recent WC victim (Eric Allen) from Pittsburg as a Mt Diablo HS grad, recently honored by Concord City Council for his service in the U.S Air Force.
