Volunteers needed to vet Chicano-Latino Youth Leadership applications, May 20

The Chicano-Latino Youth Leadership Program receives close to 1,000 applications each year from students throughout California. To achieve an equal balance of students from throughout the state, the committee is composed of multiple reading teams from Northern California, Central California, and Southern California. Students are selected on specific criteria including but not limited to GPA, 3 essays, and 2 letters of recommendation.
Please join other volunteers on May 20th at Supervisor Bonilla’s office in Concord to read student applications for the 2008 CLYLP summer program to be held July 26th - August 2nd, 2008 in Sacramento, CA. The Chicano Latino Youth Leadership Project (CLYLP) will be seeking volunteers to help select the 2008 class of future leaders. Location: 2151 Salvio Street, Suite R Concord, CA 94520
