STAND!’s 25th Annual Joie De Vivre Gala will be a night to remember with performances from professional ballroom dancers and an amateur ballroom dance contest. Professional ballroom dancers will rumba, fox trot and cha-cha. Silent and live auction with live music and dancing! This gala is to raise much needed funds to support STAND!’s core operational services which includes an emergency shelter and school prevention program.

Gallery Concord to present Spring Renditions, Mar 31

Gallery Concord will kick off its Spring exhibit with a reception on Saturday, March 31, from 1-3 p.m. Located at 1765 Galindo St., Gallery Concord will feature the work of Sue Johnston. Additional guest artists include Simone Archer (ceramics) and a retrospective former Clayton Valley High School art teacher, Jim Enemark. Music will be provided by keyboardist, Jum Hudak. Gallery Concord to feature Winter Works

The Artists in Residence of Gallery Concord will present its first exhibit of 2007 on Friday, January 5 from 5-7 p.m. Featured artist will be Mary Spivey and will include another member’s “mini-show.” Music by the Dana Street Jazz Trio. Exhibit runs through March 5 at 1765 Galindo St one block south of Willow Pass. Parking in back of building.

The Artists in Residence at Gallery Concord will hold their annual Holiday Party and Mini Show, on Sunday, December 3 at the Masonic Temple located at 1765 Galindo St in Concord. Concord-based Round Table Pizza raises $250,000 for Children’s Hospital

Concord’s Round Table Pizza (headquartered in Concord, CA) announced this week that it raised $250,000 for Children’s Hospital & Research Center Oakland through a contribution to the Children’s Miracle Network. Fundraising events included an October 24 golf tourney and other employee/corporate fundraising. All monies will be applied directly to the treatment of diseases and injuries affecting millions of children. Way to go Round Table!
Concord Historical Society Dances the Night Away

The Concord Historical Society’s first-ever Black & White Gala opened to rave reviews with over 100 revelers dancing under the largest chandelier in the County, Saturday evening (10/28).
