Hospice nurses receive national recognition

The End of Life Nursing Education Consortium (ELNEC) recently announced that Pauline Jones, RN and Linda Flumerfelt, RN of Hospice of the East Bay (formerly Hospice and Palliative Care of Contra Costa), will be honored as “Distinguished ELNEC-Geriatric Trainers” at the 50th National ELNEC “Train the Trainer” course celebration being held in Chicago this June. The honor being bestowed on these nurses is for their excellent effort in teaching other healthcare professionals how to deliver enhanced, compassionate care to terminally ill patients.
