Federal Glover responds to campaign sign vandalism

May 15, 2008

supervisor glover responds to campaign sign vandalismSupervisor Glover’s campaign says its signs are being stolen and vandalized at an alarming rate and that Supervisor Glover has established a “vandalism patrol” of volunteers who are committed to catching the bullies who are tearing down his expensive campaign signs. Attached see sample of letters sent to Pittsburg Police Chief Aaron Baker, Antioch Police Chief James Hyde, and Contra Costa County Sheriff Warren Rupf.

Supervisor Glover is asking the policing agencies in the 5th Supervisorial District to be on the look out for these vandals and to investigate the stealing of his signs.

Supervisor Glover asked that local website newspapers alert residents to be on the look out for vandals who obviously have a political motive behind their efforts. These signs cost thousands of dollars and have dozens of person-power hours in their posting. If you should have further questions, please contact Mary Jo Rossi at 925-768-7207.

It doesn’t take a whole lot of brains to know who’s responsible. Notice the Nunn signs are going untouched.
Chief Baker just needs to ask around town about the group of aging thugs who call themselves 25/8, the local version of Karl Rove’s dirty tricksters ever loyal to their leader.

I hope Chief Baker arrests the thugs who are stealing Glover’s signs. These people think they are “above” the law and that the law does not apply to them.

To all East County residents: If you see someone stealing or vandalizing one of my signs, would you please take a quick photo with your cell phone, if possible, and call the police immediately? Thank you very much.

Only people who lack character and can’t figure out any other way to win - would steal and vandalize an opponent’s signs. My bet is that it is Eric Nunn. You know he says he is a “minister” but his actions sure don’t relate. Eric, if it’s you, it says a lot about your character.

The same thing is happening to Houston signs in district III too. Just like card cheaters, some people have to resort to underhanded tactics to attempt to sway the odds when they think they are going to loose. All this says is that the thieves leaders are running scarred.

Disco Man, you can put the tin foil hat away for now.

I know for a fact some of those you claim are “stolen” are instead taken down by the property owner because they were put up without permission. In fact, some were taken down more than once because those putting them up are trespassing and doing it a second time. If you see a piece of property that is obviously private and opposing candidates’ signs are posted, you can be sure one of them is breaking the law or a minimum engaging in unethical behavior. Need a case in point? The lot on Brentwood Blvd across from Taco Bell. How much 4×8 signage money did you waste over there? Because that was a two offense situation.

Signs don’t vote, people. Whatever twisted mindset is in play with those stealing others property(for signs properly posted), all I can say is you deserve the full extent of law enforcement if you are caught. It’s stupid and childish.

Nonsense Guy, I didn’t waste any signage because I have no signage anywhere. I’m just a very concerned taxpayer and law abiding citizen that is observing very poor behavior and alot of decit by our politicians. Frankly, I’m taxed out and tired of wasteful spending by the current regime.
And that is no nonsense talk. I believe we need “change of guards” immediately by voting out all incumbants in this county.

Got something to say?
