Del Beccaro to step down as CCRP Chair

March 5, 2008

tom del beccaro jailbird, DUIState Republican Vice Chairman Tom Del Beccaro announced he is concentrating his efforts towards his added role to be head of Party’s Golden State Leadership Fundraising Team. In that role, the Vice Chairman will build upon the recent successful fundraising event he chaired at the San Francisco Convention on February 22, 2008 with additional fundraising events throughout the year.

In connection with those added duties, the State Vice Chair will be relinquishing his role as the Contra Costa County Chairman effective in April of 2008. The Contra Costa Party will hold elections for their new Chairman at that time.

I think that Del Beccaro will do great things at the State level. He has done a great job reserecting the CCRP, despite the criticism from this blog…at least there is a viable Republican organization in this county which you can criticize. Thanks for the hard work Tom

Just how will Del Beccaro get the State Party finance in order when he can’t produce a meaningful financial document for CCRP? He’s been assigned to a “lapsed program.” This doesn’t sound like a promotion.

Ah, I see another fake name for Bill Graham Reefer. Perhaps if ol’ Bill had ever come to more than 1 Central Committee meeting in the last 3 years, or if he had ever registered a voter, or joined a precinct walk, or participated in any phone banks, he would have heard the countless financial reports that have been given.
Of course, Bill does all his dumb dirty work in cyberspace so he thinks the Contra Costa County Republican Party should be so stupid as to put their financial information on the internet for the entire Democratic Party to see. A real brainiac there. Try doing something sometime Bill. I see you are running for the Central Committee. You DO know that as a Central Committee Member, you are supposed to help once in a while, don’t you?

~ editor says: it’s gram as in metric unit of weight…not cracker. Don’t know who h33 is, but am hearing far and wide a deep sign of relief from republicans that tom will be gone. And not soon enough. Why wait for April, I say resign immediately and change the signature card on the checkbook ASAP. Let’s see the great results, Patty. Please. How about a balance sheet?

Crap! Does this mean he has more time to pen another work of literary excellence?

Like I said. If you ever showed up at a meeting, you would have seen one.

~ Editor says: Why don’t you tell everyone what kind of special closed session meeting you had before I came to the candidate night meeting and report verbatim what was said by the Chair and why Frank and Leach wdere on hand to praise the wonders of Tom Del Beccaro just for my benefit?

You people are pathetic and do not deserve the trust you’ve sqaundered. bgr

Patty, I get the feeling you have no idea what to say or how anyone can help unless you ask Tom first.

Public companies are required to file public 10-Ks every quarter. Non-profits asking government and private funders for money have to provide audited financials everyday

Why shouldn’t CCRP be just as transparent and accountable to its membership and the public trust?

Unless, of course, you have something to hide, and leadership thinks the CCRP and its cult of personality is its own plaything that should not be shared.

I say good riddance and think the rest of the committee should also resign immediately and stand for election instead of as appointed incumbents.

    Poor Poor Patty,

Folks, it doesn’t take a “brainiac” to figure out that campaign finance laws require financial reporting that is available to the public. The reports aren’t as easy to read as a financial statement, but the info is all there. It also includes the name and address of every person who contributes to the party and every expense.

This stuff isn’t proprietary info, Patty, YOU DON”T OWN IT

People can look it up anytime they want instead of listening to Tom’s inner circle cooking the books.

What was the net for the golf tournament, exactly? And this guy is going to raise funds for the CAGOP? Amazing

If you had actually gone to http://query.nictusa.com/cgi-bin/fecimg/?_28930616386+0 Central Committee would find a report that shows cash on hand of $2,302.20 as of the end of January. Wow!

That ought to have the Democrats shaking in their boots! Or dying of laughter.

Sure, there are additional dollars reported for the state, but please don’t tell us Tom is a fund raising genius. Oh, and while flipping through the reports for the past year I don’t see any money given to candidates.

    What’s the deal with that?

Did I miss something? Or did the money all go to paying for “the office” and “what was her name again with the wild my-space page?”

So Patty, now that you know your financial secrets aren’t so secret, send me those financial statements you claim are so widely available and I will reveal all. I will even do a mea culpa if it is warranted.

Ask any candidate and you’ll find out that the Central Committee does not have a lock on getting Republicans elected? Many candidates have to run their own campaigns without the help of the CCRP so how do you know what I and others do?

Maybe there are folks who would like to work for the Party but don’t relish the back of Tom’s hand. Even the Contra Costa Times referred to Tom as “mercurial” so I think we can suspect they are wise to the Central Committee’s dirty little secrets, too.

Maybe Patty and the rest of the Committee members should quit drinking the Tom Del Beccaro Kool-Aid and think for themselves.

Patty O’Day seems to have been silenced by your revelation that the “party’s secret financial information” is actually already public. Maybe she will check it out and find that Tom Del Beccaro is not the fundraiser he claims to be.

Would she dare incur the wrath of the mercurial Tom Del Beccaro by actually revealing the party’s financial statements? I doubt it. She prefers namecalling. Go ahead, Patty. If people who prefer facts to worshiping at Tom’s feet are “brainiacs” in your world, then so be it. I will direct a famous move quote to you Patty: “You can’t handle the truth!”

Better to be a truth-seeking “braniac” than a Tom Del Beccaro Kool-Aid drinker any day.

Bill, Good luck in your campaign for the Central Committee!

Got something to say?
