Crystal Ranch HOA to hold school redistricting meeting, March 20
March 14, 2008
The Mayor of Claycord.com has decried an invitation from the Crystal Ranch Home Owners Association (HOA) inviting residents to attend a meeting March 20 to discuss possible changes of school district realignment. Hizzoner doesn’t like the attitude of the HOA that worries residents may be forced to send children to inferior schools. Here’s my response:
what if it’s true?People are trying to run away as fast as they can from MDUSD. Don’t you get it?
why not fund each child equally and let parents choose the school of their choice instead of propping up a broken down Stalinist Ant Farm no one likes and does not produce results.
That way no one has to move any where and communities won’t be held hostage by bureacracies more inclined to protect their own turf then serve the public.
Good teachers will always find work.
The only thing holding up education reform are the people who are invested in controlling how people educate their kids so they get the money and power.
The so-called “free thinkers” in our community are supporting one of the most corrupt and incompetent institutions in our country.
Now get on over there and make your mark!

Got something to say?

California’s schools were made INFERIOR with Prop 13 and Reagan. Now Arnold comes in and causes a disaster zone for our children. Whether you have kids or not, the kids are the ones who will grow up and run our country. We have a responsibility to the young people, parents or not. This school district is broken because is belongs to a city thats broken. Concord cares not about families and not about education and not about art/music [no Concord Jazz in concord]. Concord cares about medians and landscaping for our streets. Concord cares about building more homes, [during forclosures] and making more money off of the pavilion than using it for what it was meant to be used for. Concord doesnt even have a center of performing arts like Walnut Creek or Antioch or the new theatre complex in Martinez or the community center in Livermore, Castro Valley, Danville.. Concord teens have no where to go after school, Concord has no teen friendly hangouts or community centers located close to the schools. Concord focuses on all of the negative things teens do and spends no time honoring the teens who do well. Concord spends no time being a part of the solution, and all their time being part of the problem. What happened to the high school art and performances that used to happen at sun valley mall in the spring? What happened to the music scholarships that used to be given to our teens by the pavilion. What happened to all of the symphonys and ballets and shows that used to be at the pavilion for kids to see for free that are now extinct? City of Concord needs to take a look are some other cities and see what others provide for their citizens. Then MDUSD needs to REMOVE GARY McHENRY from office!!
