Conservatives hear Harmer, Sept 23

David Harmer is the guest speaker at the Conservative Support Group‘s (CSG) next meeting, September 23, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., at the Sycamore South Clubhouse, 1101 Greenbrook Drive in Danville.

CSG says it worked hard to qualify Harmer to the general special election. Harmer faces Democrat John Garamendi and candidates from the Green, Peace and Freedom, and American Independent Party, November 3, for the CD-10 seat in Congress vacated by Ellen Tauscher.

The CSG meets at the Sycamore South Clubhouse on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm. Meetings generally last about 1½ hours. The meeting includes a speaker presentation with Q&A, and short business meeting. Currently a $10 fee is requested to cover costs.

CSG also promotes Friday afternoon Tea Parties between 4:45pm and 6:00pm. The street location varies so watch for articles showing details. The average attendance is between 25 and 45 protesters, and its reception among passing motorists is positive and invigorating. Bring your posters but extras are usually available.
