concerned citizens of pinole work hard for their city after recall victoryFive of the nine people appointed to Pinole’s new Economic Development and Housing Advisory Committee are Concerned Citizens of Pinole (CCOP) members. Recall supporters: Norma Martinez Rubin, Cindy Trego, Bill Miller, Sean Duckworth, John Schilt were appointed to the EDHAC. The other EDHAC appointees are Patricia H. Jennings, Jil Kiernan, George D. Parsons, and Irma Ruport.

Previously, two CCOP members - Patty McGoldrick and John Bender - were appointed to the Planning Commission; they were the only new people the council appointed (two incumbents were re-appointed).

“We are walking our talk,” said CCOP spokesperson, Jeff Rubin. “We made a commitment to get involved in the city after we won the recall, and we are doing just that.” Rubin says several CCOP members have also applied for appointments to the new Community Services Commission.
