CCRP’s fundraising is all talk no walk

March 28, 2008

To hear Contra Costa Republican Party (CCRP) Central Committee members Patty O’Day, Arne Simonsen, and other palace guards of county Republican Iman, Tom-Ali Del Becarro, tell it,—praise be his name!—the CCRP’s financial picture is so rosy, there is no need to disclose financial reports to anyone; not even other board members during meetings. But recent financial reports tell a different story that doesn’t bode well for Republican candidates or activists looking for help from the CCRP this coming election season.

This is disappointing news since all that rank-and-file Republicans have heard was how wonderful a fundraiser His Majesty is. Why, even the California Republican Party has asked the Brilliant Shining Leader, to head a key fundraising effort for the State Party! But according to PUBLIC RECORDS AVAILABLE ONLINE, Federal and State financial reports beg the question:

WHERE’S THE BEEF?

[TABLE=3]

So this is why the Del Beccaristas don’t want anyone to be so bold as to look behind the curtain. Because, there’s nothing there! By comparison, in January 2007, there was over $21,000 and steady income to start out the year.

Now there’s only a chalk outline on the sidewalk. And these are the people telling Republicans the CCRP’s Central Committee doesn’t need better financial management or oversight.

Fundraising Wizardry, indeed—Poof!—it’s gone.

Good luck to the California Republican Party once it discovers Il Duce has no clothes.

    Time for a revolution. The Del Baccaro regime has run out of gas and the time has come for new leadership. Tom is a good person who did a good job lifting the failed Camile Gigilo CCGOP out of the dumps and put the CCGOP back on the map for a while…..

    But now like many 2nd term presidencies the regime/cult of personality has run out of gas. Del Baccaro was a toady to the elected Republicans who ran the GOP into the ground in 2006. His Political Vanguard website /newsletter has no clear thinking and seems hopelessly rut bound by the failed ideology of the current GOP. You need to get some new writers Tom. The Del Baccaro Praetorian Guard of Arne and Patti should move aside and maybe Tom could find you a gig with him at the CAGOP.

Got something to say?
