Become a delegate to the California State Democratic Party

Did you know that all registered Democrats in California are eligible to become delegates to the state Democratic Party? It’s true. Here’s how.

Delegates to the state Party take part in important decisions including voting on endorsement recommendations and they help promote the California Democratic Party’s agenda.

The California Democratic Party is convening Assembly District Meetings (ADEM) to select delegates in each of the state’s 80 Assembly Districts on January 12 or 13, 2013.

There are 80 Assembly Districts in California and each District will elect 12 people (six women and six men) to be members of the Democratic State Central Committee. These 12 people will represent their Assembly District for both the 2013 and 2014 State Conventions.
